Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a modern, automated cloud environment.
- Improve and uphold technical standards for development and operations, including coding standards and department best practices.
- Productionize new technologies and introduce industry ideas to the organization.
- Support DevOps, cloud automation, infrastructure as code, and cloud operations as a technical role model.
- Contribute to software development, remediation, and the development of a streamlined DevOps team and practice.
- Document designs and best practices through ADRs, repository documentation, and Confluence.
- Work independently and collaboratively to design and build organizational solutions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of cloud engineering experience, 2 years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience, and 1 year of software development experience.
- Software development skills and experience with Git, source control, CI/CD, and inline documentation.
- Proficiency with Terraform and CDK.
- Experience with Python, Bash scripting, Ansible, Helm, Make, and automation.
- Strong AWS and cloud knowledge.
- Experience with networking, EKS, ECS, containers, WAF, Lambda, serverless systems, API Gateway, and IAM.
- Technical implementation experience with security standards, infrastructure standards including disaster recovery and high availability, and reliability engineering.
- Preferred qualifications include CDK with Python or TypeScript, AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations, SCP, AWS Config, Java, Go, JavaScript, frontend or backend software experience, AWS or cloud certifications, Harness CI/CD, and GitHub Actions.
