Base Salary
$147k - $201k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver machine learning models and components for real-world business problems.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions involving model selection, data and feature selection, training, hyperparameter tuning, dimensionality, bias and variance, and validation.
- Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate testing and deployment.
- Collaborate with Product and Data Science teams in a cross-functional Agile environment to build big data and ML applications.
- Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production.
- Build or use cloud-based architectures and platforms to deploy optimized ML models at scale.
- Construct data pipelines for training and serving ML models.
- Apply continuous integration, continuous deployment, test automation, monitoring, model governance, and responsible and explainable AI practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 3 years of programming experience with Python, Java, Golang, or C++ is required.
- At least 2 years of machine learning experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and Pandas, NumPy, or Scikit-learn is required.
- At least 3 years of experience using and operating large-scale distributed systems such as Spark or Ray to prepare AI/ML data is required.
- At least 1 year of experience deploying and operating machine learning solutions in production, operating cloud production services, and using Kubernetes to manage containerized ML systems is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s or doctoral degree, experience optimizing ML algorithms and infrastructure, software development best practices, resilient production deployments, incident response planning, ML techniques and architectures, and scalable production data pipelines.
- Authorship or co-authorship of a paper on an ML technique, model, or proof of concept is preferred.
