Responsibilities
- Design and build enterprise CRM capabilities spanning Salesforce, GCP, APIs, and enterprise data platforms.
- Develop scalable Salesforce solutions using Salesforce data architecture, Apex, APIs, integration patterns, security, and platform capabilities.
- Engineer high-volume GCP data pipelines and processing using BigQuery, Bigtable, Dataflow, Dataproc/Spark, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer/Airflow, and Cloud Storage.
- Design Salesforce-to-enterprise-data connectivity using APIs, events, streaming, CDC, batch integration, federation, and virtualization.
- Own data modeling, quality, metadata, lineage, lifecycle management, reconciliation, governance, and Data as a Product practices.
- Design secure APIs, integration services, event-driven architectures, and data-access patterns with authentication, authorization, versioning, reliability, and governance.
- Engineer reliability and observability through logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, SLIs/SLOs, retries, idempotency, and resilient failure handling.
- Optimize large-volume Salesforce and GCP workloads for scale, performance, reliability, and cost.
- Apply automated testing, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, code reviews, and production-readiness practices.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentor colleagues while partnering across product, architecture, data, engineering, cloud, security, and CRM teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise-scale SaaS, CRM, cloud, data, or distributed-systems solutions.
- Strong hands-on Salesforce experience, including data architecture, Apex, APIs, integrations, security, sharing, permissions, and large-volume data.
- Strong GCP data-engineering experience with BigQuery, Bigtable, Dataflow/Apache Beam, Dataproc/Spark, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Cloud Storage, or comparable technologies.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, SQL, and Apex, with experience building production services, APIs, applications, and data pipelines.
- Experience with ETL/ELT, batch and streaming pipelines, orchestration, high-volume computation, transformation, data quality, and analytics.
- Understanding of transactional CRM, operational, relational, and analytical data architecture and modeling.
- Knowledge of Salesforce and cloud data security, including IAM, authentication and authorization, encryption, tokenization, masking, secrets management, and sensitive-data protection.
- Experience designing data integration, federation, and virtualization architectures.
- Strong REST API and enterprise integration experience, including API contracts, OpenAPI/Swagger documentation, security, versioning, reliability, and lifecycle management.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging, streaming, CDC, Salesforce Platform Events, Kafka, or comparable technologies.
- Understanding of distributed-system reliability and observability, including SLIs/SLOs, logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, retries, idempotency, rate limiting, and failure recovery.
- Experience with data governance, data contracts, ownership, metadata, lineage, quality, discoverability, and reusable data services.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams.
