Forward Deployed Engineer - Public Sector
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI agents and experiences for Fortune 500 customers using the Agentforce platform.
- Design prompts, reasoning flows, tool calls, and integrations with customer systems using current LLM techniques.
- Own technical components end-to-end, including architecture, deployment, validation, and production observability.
- Build, integrate, model, and validate data pipelines using Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
- Deliver proofs of concept and MVPs rapidly from initial concept to deployment.
- Surface platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights to Senior Technical Builders and the Agentforce product team.
- Translate customer business challenges into deployable agentic solutions with Strategic Builders.
- Partner directly with sales teams, customer architects, and customers in a technical delivery context.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience.
- Experience shipping at least one production system.
- Fluency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Ability to evaluate AI outputs with engineering rigor and ship quality code.
- Ability to work effectively with sales teams and customer architects.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
- Preferred: Salesforce platform experience or certifications such as Administrator, Platform Developer I, or Agentforce Specialist.
- Preferred: familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and orchestration patterns.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
- Preferred: prior customer-facing technical delivery experience in consulting, forward deployed engineering, or professional services.
