Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable Java software and large-scale distributed systems.
- Collaborate with business analysts, quality analysts, designers, project managers, and teammates to solve client problems and build customer experiences.
- Deliver software across the full consulting lifecycle from ideation through deployment.
- Apply clean-code, reusable-code, testing, continuous delivery, pair programming, design-pattern, and collaborative development practices.
- Use AI agents to support code generation, development, developer productivity, code reviews, and production deployments.
- Assess team health, code quality, and nonfunctional requirements while advocating technical excellence and DevOps practices.
- Mentor less-experienced peers and help cultivate a collaborative environment with healthy technical debate.
- Share technical expertise through community speaking, open-source contributions, blogs, and related activities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and experience designing scalable enterprise systems.
- Ability to write high-quality, well-tested, maintainable code.
- Hands-on experience with AI-based development, including working with AI agents for coding, productivity, code reviews, and production deployments.
- Familiarity with Extreme Programming, Scrum, and/or Kanban practices.
- Awareness of test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery approaches and tools.
- Preferred knowledge of AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Strong technical influence, communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to contribute to the external technology community through speaking, open source, or writing.
