Responsibilities
- Build and maintain innovative product features across Sezzle’s platform.
- Collaborate with product feature owners and engineers to identify improvements.
- Participate in design and architecture discussions.
- Contribute hands-on code and participate in code reviews.
- Mentor engineers who are beginning their careers.
- Build and deploy scalable solutions with the team.
- Assist with project planning, estimation, and completion.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to production incidents.
Requirements
- Experience solving technical problems as part of a team.
- Demonstrated experience using Claude or equivalent large language model tools to improve productivity, research, and communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with modern frontend development, with React experience preferred.
- Ability to solve backend problems using Go or a similar compiled statically typed language.
- Intermediate understanding of relational databases such as MySQL.
- Knowledge of automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservice architecture, software engineering tools, development methodology, and release processes.
