Base Salary
$173k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals while leading engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems.
- Build and operate high-availability, low-latency authentication, verification, and fraud-related systems across backend, web, and mobile interfaces.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology, and business issues.
- Create and monitor operational metrics, escalate issues, and support keep-the-lights-on and on-call efforts.
- Establish code review and design standards and advocate for quality and ownership through writing and technical talks.
- Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience developing and architecting web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components with simple, extensible designs.
- Ability to make significant changes safely in a large codebase using effective tools and practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
