Base Salary
$230k - $330k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and ship complex frontend features from scoping and implementation through launch, monitoring, and production support.
- Build web features across Polymarket’s core product surfaces while balancing speed, quality, architecture, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with backend engineers on APIs, data flows, data contracts, failure modes, and system behavior.
- Own reliability and incident response for the frontend domain, including monitoring issues, isolating root causes, shipping mitigations, and preventing recurrence.
- Improve frontend observability through logs, metrics, alerts, dashboards, and error reporting.
- Identify technical debt, lead pragmatic refactors, contribute to frontend architecture discussions, and raise the engineering quality bar through code reviews.
- Connect technical work to performance, reliability, product quality, and conversion outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of frontend web engineering experience with experience in crypto, Web3, or adjacent financial infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend development.
- Strong frontend system design skills across state management, data fetching, caching, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Experience owning complex features from scoping through launch and responding to production issues.
- Ability to collaborate with backend engineers on APIs, data contracts, failure modes, and system behavior.
- High agency, strong product orientation, clear communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- Preferred experience with frontend performance specialization; high-traffic, real-time, marketplace, trading, or financial products; WebViews or shared web/mobile surfaces; frontend observability, alerting, or reliability practices; and practical use of AI tools for engineering productivity.
