Responsibilities
- Own technical projects from problem framing through rollout, incorporating user feedback and measuring outcomes.
- Build intuitive, reusable frontend experiences with React and TypeScript, contributing to APIs and backend functionality where needed.
- Collaborate with product management, product design, backend engineers, and other squads on shared dependencies and technical proposals.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design feedback, pairing, and technical discussions.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, customer escalations, and production support.
- Contribute to open source communities and share the team’s work through demos and technical discussions.
Requirements
- Strong frontend engineering experience building and maintaining production web applications with React and TypeScript.
- Experience contributing across the stack, including backend services and APIs.
- Experience delivering complex projects, taking technical ownership, mentoring engineers, and working effectively in a remote asynchronous environment.
- Experience operating software in production, participating in on-call, supporting customers, and responding to incidents.
- Ability to tackle complex engineering problems independently and use short feedback loops to design, deliver, and iterate.
- Comfort with maintainable, readable code, automated testing, secure development practices, and thoughtful use of AI coding tools.
- Preferred experience includes open-source contribution, observability tools, databases, SQL, database performance monitoring, Go, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or Tempo.
- Experience working in a fully remote, globally distributed team is preferred.
