Responsibilities
- Own technical projects from problem framing through rollout, incorporating user feedback and measuring outcomes.
- Build intuitive, reusable frontend experiences for database observability using React and TypeScript.
- Contribute to APIs and backend functionality written in Go where needed.
- Collaborate with product management, product design, backend engineers, and other squads.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design feedback, pairing, and technical discussions.
- Participate in on-call, incident response, customer escalations, and production support.
- Contribute to open-source communities and share team work through demos and technical discussions.
Requirements
- Strong frontend engineering experience building and maintaining production web applications with React and TypeScript.
- Experience contributing across the stack, including backend services and APIs.
- Experience delivering complex projects, mentoring engineers, and taking technical ownership.
- Experience operating production software, participating in on-call, supporting customers, and responding to incidents.
- Ability to work independently on complex engineering problems in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
- Commitment to maintainable, readable, automatically tested, and securely developed software.
- Practical experience using AI coding tools and validating their output is valued.
- Preferred qualifications include open-source contribution or maintainership, observability experience, database or SQL experience, Go backend development, and experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or Tempo.
