Base Salary

$184k - $357k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build, provision, configure, and maintain scalable Linux infrastructure supporting networking software development and validation.
  • Develop automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, software deployment, upgrades, and daily operations.
  • Build reusable tools and self-service capabilities that improve engineering efficiency and reduce manual work.
  • Diagnose complex issues across hardware, firmware, operating systems, virtualization, containers, storage, networking, and applications.
  • Implement monitoring, observability, capacity management, and reliability practices.
  • Define technical standards, maintain documentation and runbooks, and establish scalable operational processes with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, prioritize infrastructure initiatives, and coordinate projects through completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, site reliability engineering, or infrastructure operations.
  • Significant hands-on experience coordinating production or engineering Linux environments.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry or a hardware-focused engineering environment, including bare-metal Linux and server components such as CPUs, GPUs, memory, PCIe devices, NICs, storage, BIOS/UEFI, BMC/IPMI/Redfish, power, and cooling.
  • Proficiency with generative AI tools for automation, troubleshooting, documentation, operational analysis, and engineering efficiency.
  • Strong diagnostic skills across hardware, firmware, and operating-system layers.
  • Strong data-center networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and network troubleshooting tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
  • Preferred experience with Linux KVM/QEMU virtualization, Kubernetes clusters, engineering lab environments, NFS or distributed storage, automated OS or cluster provisioning, observability platforms, large-scale infrastructure, self-service platforms, and team or managerial leadership.

  • Eligible for equity and benefits.
  • Base salary range is 184,000 USD–287,500 USD for Level 4 or 224,000 USD–356,500 USD for Level 5, depending on location, experience, and comparable employee pay.
