Base Salary
$118k - $231k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
- Advise customers on architecture patterns, application optimization, and the business value of MongoDB solutions.
- Partner with sales teams on technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, documentation, account planning, opportunity qualification, and pipeline generation.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, industry trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
- Build customer relationships and champions while ensuring customer success and satisfaction.
- Provide field feedback to the product team, improve solutions and processes, mentor Solutions Consulting team members, and demonstrate thought leadership through publications and public speaking.
- Complete ongoing training and professional development on MongoDB products and industry trends.
Requirements
- Ideally 12+ years of related customer-facing experience, with a minimum of 7 years in pre-sales navigating complex enterprise software sales cycles.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C, C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Experience reviewing complex application architectures with customers and recommending technology improvements.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for explaining technical and business concepts to technology and business leadership.
- Evidence of thought leadership through industry conference presentations, published articles, papers, or blog posts.
- Ability to collaborate with Regional Director-level Sales Leadership across multiple sales representatives, accounts, or industry verticals.
- Strong understanding of sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC and Command of the Message.
- Master’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience includes database programming, data models, data engineering, AI/ML projects, legacy modernization, SRE practices, organizational enablement, MongoDB Certification, or cloud provider certification.
