Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance backend services using Python and FastAPI.
- Implement AI-powered workflows and LLM-based features.
- Develop and optimize RAG, semantic search, and vector-search capabilities.
- Build and maintain APIs, integrations, and microservices for the Discover platform.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable code and participate in code reviews.
- Create and execute unit tests and support automated testing initiatives.
- Troubleshoot defects and support production issue resolution.
- Contribute to deployment activities and cloud-native development practices.
- Monitor application behavior and help improve reliability, performance, and observability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused solutions and learn new AI engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong foundation in Python programming and software engineering concepts.
- Understanding of web service development and REST APIs.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming, design principles, databases, and data modeling.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and modern development workflows.
- Familiarity with Git-based source control and Agile development practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred exposure to OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, LangChain, LangGraph, prompt engineering, RAG, vector search, semantic search, Node.js, TypeScript, Snowflake, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure AKS, GitHub Actions, distributed systems, and AI-powered applications.
