Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and lead security automation platforms and workflows across Trust Office teams.
- Own automation solutions from requirements discovery and design through implementation, rollout, and maintenance.
- Develop and review Python-based automation frameworks and services integrating security tools, APIs, and internal data sources.
- Automate vulnerability management, alert triage, enrichment, decisioning, remediation, reporting, and audit evidence generation.
- Design and implement governed AI/LLM-assisted security automation workflows.
- Define reliability standards covering logging, monitoring, testing, error handling, and rollback.
- Drive integrations across SIEMs, ticketing systems, cloud services, and internal platforms.
- Identify and prioritize high-impact automation opportunities based on risk reduction, efficiency, and engineering effort.
- Create architecture documentation, runbooks, and technical standards.
- Provide technical mentorship and code review to engineers contributing to automation initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in security engineering, automation engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps.
- Proven ability to lead automation projects from inception to completion, including project plans, timelines, budgets, and measurable results.
- Deep proficiency in Python, API design, and large-scale system integrations.
- Production experience architecting and operating security automation.
- Hands-on experience with automation platforms or equivalent SOAR tools.
- Production experience integrating AI or LLM capabilities into automated workflows with appropriate controls.
- Advanced experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and release management.
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Splunk, including data modeling and alerting strategies.
- Preferred familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms, including IAM, logging, and security services.
- Preferred experience integrating Jira, ServiceNow, or similar ITSM platforms at scale.
- Preferred experience in regulated environments such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or WebTrust.
- Prior experience as a technical lead or domain expert for security automation or SOAR initiatives.
