Responsibilities
- Own and deliver high-impact software features and system improvements end-to-end.
- Design and build AI-driven software, agentic AI systems, LLM capabilities, AI processing pipelines, and workflow automation.
- Implement MCP-style orchestration, tool invocation, context propagation, state and memory management, guardrails, grounding, validation, structured outputs, and human oversight.
- Design evaluation, monitoring, and feedback loops for AI behavior in production while meeting security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Modernize legacy systems and migrate them incrementally to scalable, cloud-native architectures.
- Design and evolve microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven integrations, SaaS applications, and distributed systems.
- Lead technical discovery, architecture, delivery planning, execution tracking, launch readiness, risk mitigation, and post-launch follow-through.
- Set architectural standards, influence technical direction across teams, and coordinate dependencies with product, engineering, security, operations, DevOps/SRE, QA, and business stakeholders.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for design, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, and code generation, and establish safe adoption standards.
- Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, design discussions, and technical leadership coaching.
- Build containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes and support CI/CD, observability, safe deployments, testing, deployment, and production operations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven ownership and delivery of large, complex systems, including legacy modernization and technology-stack transformation.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping AI-driven and agentic AI systems in production or production-like environments.
- Strong history of hands-on technical leadership across teams or domains, independent project leadership, stakeholder coordination, technical risk management, and engineer mentoring.
- Expert-level proficiency in C# and .NET, including ASP.NET Core and modern .NET development.
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design, distributed systems, microservices architectures, and production-quality code.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI processing systems, agentic AI architectures, autonomous workflow execution, tool or function calling, context and memory management, and AI workflow orchestration.
- Experience integrating AI systems with datastores, APIs, and event-driven workflows.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL, plus working knowledge of NoSQL data stores and caching strategies such as Redis.
- Strong experience with Docker and production containerization, practical Kubernetes experience, and comfort working in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
- Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows, along with a strong understanding of testing strategies.
- Frontend framework experience such as React or Angular.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with Python, Java, TypeScript, message queues, event streaming, workflow orchestration platforms, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge graphs, semantic search, AI evaluation harnesses, prompt/version management, safety checks, governance workflows, high-throughput or operationally critical SaaS systems, and Agile/Scrum environments.
