Responsibilities
- Support Corp Engineering services and collaborate with business partners.
- Drive technical interactions with business partners to develop ideas for improving enterprise application reliability.
- Apply Google SRE reliability strategies across GCP and the Google stack to reduce operational work.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure.
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience programming in one or more programming languages.
- Experience with administration topics such as filesystems, inodes, and system calls, or networking topics such as TCP/IP, routing, network topologies and hardware, and SDN.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Preferred: Experience with Unix/Linux systems, IP networking, performance, application issues, enterprise systems, cloud workload deployment and management, and engineering or operations roles in enterprise applications or other enterprise environments.
