Responsibilities
- Provide 24x7 production support for critical business applications and infrastructure.
- Perform troubleshooting, incident management, root cause analysis, service restoration, and problem-management activities.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions to reduce manual effort and operational toil.
- Create and enhance Shell Scripting and Python scripts.
- Monitor system health, performance, and service availability.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and network teams to improve reliability and resiliency.
- Participate in on-call rotations, night shifts, and weekend support as required.
- Drive continuous-improvement initiatives aligned with SRE best practices.
Requirements
- Have 4–6 years of experience in production support, automation, Linux, and Site Reliability Engineering.
- Have hands-on experience with Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting.
- Be proficient in Linux commands, Shell scripting, and Python scripting/development.
- Understand Site Reliability Engineering principles and operational excellence.
- Have experience with automation, orchestration, and toil-reduction initiatives.
- Understand production support processes, incident management, root cause analysis, service restoration, and problem management.
- Have knowledge of switching technologies and network fundamentals.
- Have experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, NetXMS, or similar platforms.
- Have exposure to cloud platforms, DevOps tooling, ITIL processes, and service-management tools.
- Demonstrate analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Be flexible to work night shifts, on-call rotations, and weekend support schedules.
