Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ServiceNow solutions supporting ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB processes.
- Gather complex requirements from service owners and implement forms, workflows, and request-management automation.
- Maintain existing platform implementations, update forms and workflows, and resolve reported issues.
- Configure and maintain infrastructure discovery while troubleshooting data and class-owner issues.
- Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using API calls or integration platforms.
- Maintain technical documentation for implemented functionality.
- Provide end-user support, system-use guidance, and troubleshooting assistance.
- Partner with software engineering, security, product, infrastructure, and data teams to foster a DevOps culture.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
- Perform special projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Master's degree in computer science and three years of progressively responsible IT experience, including 18 months in an administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory capacity; or a bachelor's degree and four years of qualifying IT experience; or a four-year high school diploma or equivalent and six years of qualifying IT experience.
- All candidates must have at least a four-year high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of qualifying IT experience, and the required 18 months of administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory experience.
- Qualifying IT experience includes applications development, systems development, data communications and networking, database administration, data processing, or user services.
- Education and experience may be combined under the stated civil service substitution rules, but education credits cannot replace the required 18 months of administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory experience.
- Applicants must be permanent employees in the title, reachable on the current civil service list, or otherwise meet the stated eligibility requirements.
