Base Salary
$220k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy ML models and pipelines at scale.
- Partner with software engineers to integrate ML into products.
- Lead technical design documentation, code reviews, design reviews, and engineering discussions.
- Build scalable backend, frontend, and cloud systems using Python, FastAPI, React, and AWS.
- Set standards for code quality, testing, performance, maintainability, and clean architecture.
- Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and incremental agile delivery.
- Mentor engineers through feedback, coaching, and technical guidance.
- Design resilient systems with fault tolerance, observability, and graceful degradation.
- Participate in incident response, improve response processes, and drive actionable postmortems.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders on roadmap priorities and delivery timelines.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- 4+ years of professional experience with AI, ML, LLMs, or machine learning systems.
- Deep proficiency in Python, particularly with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
- Strong experience with React and frontend application architecture.
- Production experience with AWS and modern cloud-native architectures.
- Expertise in software testing, quality assurance, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and leading agile ceremonies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, design-review, and consensus-building skills.
- Proven ability to mentor and support teammates’ technical growth.
- Nice-to-have experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, CDK, or similar tools.
- Nice-to-have familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog or OpenTelemetry.
- Contributions to open source or technical writing are a plus.
