Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive technical strategy and roadmaps for critical Semantic Understanding SRE areas while mentoring team members.
- Initiate, own, and lead large-scale projects and programs that improve service reliability, scalability, and performance across multiple teams and systems.
- Partner with development teams on system design and architecture and embed reliability principles throughout the development lifecycle.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate production risks while implementing architectural improvements for long-term service health and efficiency.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, respond to incidents, and lead postmortem actions to prevent recurrence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Eight years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- Four years of experience applying Design for Reliability techniques.
- Three years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer.
- Three years of experience leading projects.
- Three years of experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, experience with Generative AI, Generative AI Agents, Google Infrastructure, large-scale secure fleet management, enterprise risk assessments, process improvement, and automation.
Benefits
- US base salary of $207000-$300000, plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
