Responsibilities
- Own the enterprise Infrastructure as Code strategy, engineering standards, governance, and adoption roadmap.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure automation solutions across hosted platforms.
- Build reusable modules, templates, blueprints, automation frameworks, APIs, and self-service infrastructure capabilities.
- Develop automation using Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Puppet, Rundeck, Python, and related technologies.
- Design and implement CI/CD, security, compliance, testing, and deployment automation for infrastructure delivery.
- Partner with platform, server, security, networking, and application teams to accelerate IaC adoption and productize infrastructure capabilities.
- Create documentation, reference architectures, training materials, and enablement programs.
- Apply responsible AI, security controls, governance, and risk management to enterprise automation platforms.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code principles, patterns, and engineering practices.
- Experience building enterprise infrastructure automation with tools such as Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Env0, Puppet, or equivalent platforms.
- Demonstrated success establishing and scaling enterprise infrastructure automation initiatives.
- Strong software engineering practices focused on maintainability, testing, version control, and automation.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments.
- Knowledge of Git-based workflows, branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Experience building reusable modules, templates, and shared automation services.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, identity management, and platform services.
- Ability to influence engineering teams, drive technical standards adoption, and balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred: 5 or more years of experience.
- Preferred: experience integrating LLMs, MCPs, AI agents, Copilot technologies, workflow automation, or AI-native infrastructure platforms.
