Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications and distributed microservices.
- Perform hands-on coding, code reviews, refactoring, and technical design work.
- Apply unit testing, Test-Driven Development, and Behavior-Driven Development to maintain code quality and reliability.
- Implement secure coding practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and support compliance with security standards.
- Promote trunk-based development, feature flags, progressive delivery, automation, infrastructure as code, and continuous monitoring.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, DevOps teams, and cross-functional partners on system design, deployment optimization, observability, and production resilience.
- Lead technical discussions, contribute to design documentation, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience; the posting also lists 5-8 years of experience for the mandatory Fullstack Java Enterprise skill.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and working knowledge of C++ is preferred.
- Deep expertise in system design and microservices architecture.
- Experience with trunk-based development, feature flags, progressive delivery, TDD, BDD, automation, code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and secure coding.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and distributed systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of performance tuning, observability, and production monitoring is preferred.
- Proficiency in English is required; Japanese is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and agile-environment skills.
