Base Salary
$114k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and operate cloud-based full-stack mission applications and services.
- Own the architecture and design of decision-support systems, analytic services, and cloud-hosted software components.
- Build and integrate microservices, APIs, data pipelines, data products, and knowledge services for dashboards, user interfaces, external systems, and APIs.
- Develop and integrate algorithms and analytic services for optimization, decision-making, automated reasoning, and situational awareness.
- Develop web-based user interfaces integrated with backend processes and databases.
- Evaluate commercial, COTS, and GOTS solutions for integration into custom software products and enterprise architectures.
- Lead development of important application components and mentor more junior engineers.
- Support operations and maintenance of fielded systems in operational and classified environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of programming experience; or a master's degree plus 3 years; or a PhD plus 0 years of relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing software with Python, C, or C++.
- Experience integrating commercial software products into custom software solutions.
- Full software engineering lifecycle experience, including operations and maintenance of fielded systems.
- Experience leading development of an important application component and mentoring junior engineers.
- Active Top Secret clearance required at start, and U.S. citizenship required.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, active SCI clearance, classified U.S. government software experience, AWS or Azure cloud development, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Go, COTS/GOTS integration, UML or SysML with Cameo, and source-control and CI/CD tools such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI.
