Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and operate cloud-based full-stack mission applications and services.
- Own architecture and design for advanced decision-support systems and analytic services.
- Build and integrate cloud-hosted microservices, APIs, data pipelines, algorithms, and analytic workflows.
- Develop web-based user interfaces, dashboards, data products, and knowledge services for operators, analysts, external systems, and APIs.
- Integrate commercial, COTS, and GOTS software into custom solutions and evaluate make/buy alternatives.
- Support the full software lifecycle, including maintenance and operations of fielded systems.
- Lead development of important application components and mentor more junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus at least two years of programming experience; master's or doctoral alternatives are also listed, though their experience requirements are unclear in the posting.
- Demonstrated software development experience using Python, C, or C++.
- Experience integrating commercial software products into custom software solutions.
- Experience across the full software engineering lifecycle, including operations and maintenance of fielded systems.
- Experience leading development of a significant application component and mentoring junior engineers.
- Active Top Secret clearance is required at start, and U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred qualifications include an active SCI clearance, an advanced degree, classified U.S. government software experience, AWS or Azure cloud development, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Go, UML or SysML with Cameo, and Git-based source control and CI/CD tools.
