Base Salary
$114k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, operate, and maintain cloud-based full-stack mission applications and services.
- Architect and implement cloud-hosted microservices, APIs, data pipelines, and decision-support workflows.
- Develop custom algorithms and analytic services for decision-making and situational awareness.
- Integrate commercial, COTS, and GOTS software into custom software solutions and enterprise architectures.
- Create data products and knowledge services for dashboards, user interfaces, external systems, APIs, and other consumers.
- Develop web-based user interfaces integrated with backend processes and databases.
- Lead development of important application components, own architecture and design decisions, and mentor junior engineers.
- Perform make/buy evaluations involving cloud services and commercial components.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of programming experience; or a master's degree plus 3 years; or a Ph.D. plus 0 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated software development experience with Python, C, or C++.
- Experience integrating commercial software products into custom software solutions.
- Experience across the full software engineering lifecycle, including operations and maintenance of fielded systems.
- Experience leading development of a significant application component and mentoring junior engineers.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance and requirement for U.S. citizenship.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, active TS/SCI clearance, classified U.S. government software experience, and full-stack cloud development with AWS or Azure.
- Preferred web technologies include TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Go; UML or SysML experience with Cameo is also valued.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI is preferred.
