Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end solution delivery across discovery and delivery tracks, including prototypes, technical designs, implementation, delivery sign-off, and post-release support.
  • Use AI-assisted and agentic workflows for design, prototyping, code generation, test-case creation, documentation, and automated validation.
  • Lead discovery workshops, demonstrate prototypes, validate feasibility, and translate outcomes into actionable delivery backlog items.
  • Produce technical artifacts including ADRs, interface contracts, data models, sequencing diagrams, migration and rollback plans, and traceability matrices.
  • Implement critical components and complex features, review implementation-team deliverables, and enforce quality and non-functional requirements.
  • Act as the primary technical lead in client engagements by presenting solutions, making trade-off decisions, driving approvals, and serving as a platform subject-matter expert.
  • Mentor and upskill engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and example-driven leadership.
  • Contribute to platform and product strategy, reusable assets, API-first designs, risk mitigation, backward compatibility, data integrity, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Current, daily hands-on coding and prototyping experience with modern technology stacks and 8+ years building cloud-native, microservices, or event-driven systems.
  • Experience with Azure or equivalent cloud platforms and proficiency with Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript, and React or Vue.
  • Experience owning medium-to-large solutions through design, implementation, delivery, and post-release operational accountability.
  • Strong experience with messaging platforms and relational or non-relational databases, plus hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, deployment tooling, automated testing, and CI/CD.
  • Practical experience using generative AI and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor for design, coding, testing, and documentation.
  • Experience with OpenAPI, formal or machine-readable specifications, API-first designs, and technical design artifacts.
  • Strong stakeholder communication, workshop facilitation, technical presentation, mentoring, code review, and engineering-practice leadership skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include retail platform and POS knowledge, relevant Azure certifications, security and compliance experience, Dual-Track Agile leadership, platform strategy experience, and expertise with UML+OCL or TLA+.
