Responsibilities
- Design and implement new ServiceNow features while improving the quality of technical products and applications.
- Provide technical knowledge and developer leadership on an Agile squad.
- Define system architectures and solutions collaboratively with software engineers.
- Develop maintainable, supportable, testable software that meets code quality standards and metrics.
- Use test-driven development, automated testing, code reviews, and defect resolution practices.
- Develop and configure ServiceNow workflows, integrations, and automation.
- Troubleshoot complex workflows, integrations, data issues, and production defects across multiple systems.
- Automate operational processes and contribute to service improvement with operations and engineering teams.
- Participate in communities of practice, share knowledge, and improve development standards and best practices.
- Assist with end-user and customer problem resolution.
- Define operational procedures and maintain controls and documentation for audit compliance.
- Identify, assess, manage, monitor, and report risks in accordance with the bank's risk appetite.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Six or more years of software engineering, application development, or relevant IT experience.
- Hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including JavaScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and server- and client-side scripting.
- Experience with ServiceNow Flow Designer, decision tables, playbooks, and workflow or process automation.
- Experience with ServiceNow Financial Services Operations, Customer Service Management, or other complex case-management solutions.
- Knowledge of object-oriented and functional software design.
- Experience designing, consuming, and troubleshooting REST and SOAP APIs and ServiceNow integrations, including IntegrationHub.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems and external platforms using APIs, authentication mechanisms, and asynchronous integration patterns.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, source control, and application deployment practices.
- Understanding of software development methodologies, Agile/Scrum development, code reviews, automated testing, and defect resolution.
- Understanding of security best practices and secure enterprise application development.
- Strong collaboration, troubleshooting, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Preferred experience with ServiceNow FSO Disputes Management and banking disputes such as card or debit disputes, fraud and non-fraud disputes, chargebacks, provisional credit, recovery, and dispute case lifecycles.
- Preferred experience with Mastercard or Visa dispute processing, ACH disputes, or payments operations.
- Preferred ServiceNow certifications or accreditations such as CSA, CAD, CIS-CSM, FSO Banking & Wealth, or FSO Disputes Management.
- Preferred experience with ServiceNow UI Builder, IntegrationHub, Process Automation Designer, and Automated Test Framework.
