Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and lead cloud technology evaluation and standardization initiatives.
- Build, optimize, and maintain infrastructure CI/CD pipelines while establishing DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
- Architect and manage Kubernetes environments across EKS, AKS, GKE, on-premises, and cloud platforms.
- Implement platform engineering tools and internal developer portal capabilities to provide self-service functionality.
- Define and enforce monitoring, alerting, and observability standards for infrastructure reliability and performance.
- Collaborate across development, operations, security, and FinOps teams to improve platform design and delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements
- At least four years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience designing and administering complex platforms across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- At least two years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible and automation platforms such as AWX, Ansible Tower, and Terragrunt.
- Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or Go.
- At least two years of experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of security practices including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance.
- At least two years of Kubernetes administration experience across on-premises and cloud environments, with EKS preferred and experience in networking, RBAC, pod security, service mesh, and Docker image management.
- Experience implementing developer portals, artifact repositories, API gateways, and self-service platform engineering tools.
- Hands-on experience with Honeycomb, Prometheus, or Grafana and defining alerting standards at scale.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, cloud networking protocols, DNS, load balancing, traffic management, and technical architecture.
- Proficiency with Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket and the ability to work autonomously and contribute to engineering standards.
