Base Salary
$125k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and expand the platform backbone to support hundreds of thousands of merchants.
- Align project scopes with other teams for cross-team collaboration.
- Partner with Engineering Manager and Team Lead to realize the team's long-term vision.
- Execute technical strategies for complex requirements and large open-ended problems.
- Utilize development tools to automate parts of the development process.
- Enhance engineering standards, tooling, and processes across the organization.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a backend software engineer.
- Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design and distributed systems.
- Experience with data models, API design, state machines, and event-driven architecture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in asynchronous formats.
- Experience with backend systems development using AWS, gRPC, Snowflake, Kotlin, Python, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Prior experience with monitoring and alerting systems.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
