Base Salary
$144k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end development and architectural integrity of medium-to-large features and systems.
- Design and document maintainable, scalable system interactions and drive team-level technical direction.
- Identify and resolve systemic issues involving scalability, developer productivity, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Lead technical design, implementation, and delivery of complex systems and cross-functional initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Partner with Product Managers on timelines, priorities, feature trade-offs, and long-term technical health.
- Design AI-friendly APIs, layer MCPs, and build agentic workflows for accounting and finance.
- Drive adoption of agent-first development workflows.
- Mentor engineers, provide peer guidance and feedback, and act as a go-to engineer within the subdomain.
- Influence hiring, onboarding, team culture, and the broader engineering community.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and scripting.
- Strong understanding of Java or Go, Python, and scripting.
- Professional experience with Node, MongoDB, AWS, React/Redux, MERN-style stacks, Spring Boot, or equivalent technologies.
- Demonstrated commitment to testing, code quality, and software craftsmanship.
- Ability to independently produce effective solutions in a highly collaborative agile environment.
- Successful candidates complete coding, structured code review, system design, and behavioral assessments.
