Responsibilities
- Architect and standardize SLO/SLI frameworks and error-budget policies across multiple engineering groups.
- Lead the design and rollout of secure, scalable Infrastructure as Code and cloud-native Kubernetes environments.
- Drive observability strategy and optimize telemetry solutions across distributed systems.
- Act as Incident Commander during critical system events, lead post-incident reviews, and drive systemic mitigation.
- Build automation frameworks and platform tools in Python or Go to reduce operational friction and enforce security compliance.
- Mentor and advise software and reliability engineers and promote technical excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing high-throughput distributed systems and cloud infrastructure at scale.
- Advanced expertise in Kubernetes, Linux internals, cloud networking, and Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform and AWS.
- Strong proficiency in Python or Go for building automation tools and system integrations.
- Experience leading incident response, blameless post-mortems, and root-cause prevention across complex architectures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include CKA, CKS, or cloud-provider certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect.
- Preferred experience includes compliance and security frameworks such as SOC 2 and CIS benchmarks, CI/CD security integration, and Gen AI tools for development and diagnostic automation.
