Base Salary
$151k - $251k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, physicists, firmware teams, and software developers to deliver integrated product solutions.
- Maintain design, workflow, and process documentation in accordance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Integrate Rust-based middleware and driver software for device control.
- Develop software drivers and interfaces for embedded devices with hardware and FPGA teams.
- Develop and maintain system-level APIs and communication layers.
- Contribute to frontend development for tooling, visualization, or user interfaces.
- Write clean, tested, and documented code and participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Exposure to embedded software development using Rust and/or C++.
- Working knowledge of gateware development and hardware/software integration, including FPGA-based systems.
- Exposure to frontend development with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or similar frameworks.
- Strong background developing and debugging embedded Linux environments.
- Familiarity with embedded and system-level interfaces including SPI, I²C, UART, PCIe, and Ethernet.
- Understanding of systems programming concepts including memory safety, concurrency, and performance.
- Preferred experience includes high-reliability or performance-critical systems, WebAssembly, Rust-based frontend frameworks, RTOS, bare-metal development, embedded control systems, and hardware-platform integration.
