Base Salary

$165k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software for high-performance quantum-classical computing systems.
  • Build components and interfaces coordinating computation across CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, accelerators, and quantum resources.
  • Analyze performance bottlenecks and improve latency, throughput, scalability, bandwidth, and reliability.
  • Develop tools, benchmarks, test infrastructure, and observability capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot issues spanning applications, operating systems, drivers, runtimes, networking, firmware, and hardware.
  • Collaborate with software, physics, electrical, systems, research, and external technology teams.
  • Contribute to code reviews, design reviews, technical documentation, prototyping, and engineer mentorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional embedded software development experience or equivalent demonstrated experience developing complex technical systems.
  • Strong programming experience in one or more of C++, C, Rust, or Python.
  • Experience with performance-critical, distributed, embedded, scientific, or high-performance computing systems.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, debugging, version control, code review, and maintainable software design.
  • Experience working in Linux environments and diagnosing complex multi-layer computing problems.
  • Understanding of concurrency, memory, networking, data movement, latency, and throughput.
  • Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Preferred experience includes HPC systems or schedulers such as Slurm or PBS, CUDA, distributed systems, RoCE, RDMA, high-speed Ethernet, InfiniBand, heterogeneous computing, embedded Linux, firmware, device drivers, performance profiling, scientific computing, real-time systems, FPGA-accelerated computing, quantum computing, CUDA-Q, R&D, and open-source development.

  • Annual base salary range of $165,000 to $225,000 plus eligibility for an annual incentive plan.
