Base Salary
$115k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain integrations between checkout kiosks and customer payment, point-of-sale, and enterprise systems.
- Develop software connecting embedded devices, payment terminals, peripherals, backend services, and customer APIs.
- Work with internal teams and enterprise customers to understand integration requirements, troubleshoot production issues, and deliver technical solutions.
- Design reusable libraries, tooling, and services that improve the speed, reliability, and observability of customer integrations.
- Debug issues across firmware, networking, operating systems, payment devices, cloud services, and distributed applications.
- Prototype, test, and deploy integrations for new payment devices, peripherals, and customer systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant coding experience.
- B.S. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent knowledge of one or more of Python, C++, and TypeScript.
- Ability to learn new languages, libraries, and frameworks as needed.
- Experience building production-ready software used regularly by many people.
- Preferred: experience building software from firmware through the application layer, especially for public-facing devices.
- Preferred: experience developing software that closely interacts with hardware such as payment systems, point-of-sale systems, or fuel controllers.
- Preferred: strong proficiency with Python, C, and C++.
- Preferred: experience meeting with customers and demonstrating new features.
