Full Stack Developer II (Java / React)
Guidewire SoftwareResponsibilities
- Design and write software across the full technology stack, from persistence layers through web application front ends.
- Build and improve Guidewire’s enterprise insurance product solutions.
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software using Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and client-side frameworks.
- Apply object-oriented, SOLID, and Hexagonal design principles.
- Work with relational and NoSQL database persistence and REST or gRPC APIs.
- Collaborate independently and as part of a lean, empowered, cross-functional team.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in enterprise software development.
- Proficiency in Core Java and a solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Experience with a client-side framework such as React or Angular is a plus.
- Experience with open-source frameworks such as Spring, Jersey, or Drools.
- Understanding of relational database persistence with technologies such as MySQL or Oracle; NoSQL experience with MongoDB or CouchDB is a plus.
- Experience with REST or gRPC-based APIs and cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience building secure software and knowledge of security practices.
- A Computer Science degree or equivalent is typical.
- Familiarity with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and unit or integration testing.
- Understanding of object-oriented design using SOLID and Hexagonal design principles.
