Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive, accessible web applications and backend services.
- Build user interfaces with JavaScript frameworks and develop Java and Spring Boot services for single-page applications and integrations.
- Develop and maintain service interfaces and contribute to shared frameworks, reusable components, coding standards, and architectural practices.
- Participate throughout the development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, release preparation, and application support.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA, architects, designers, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Support unit and end-to-end testing, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and diagnosis of production and non-production issues.
- Work in cloud-based and containerized deployment environments and provide guidance or mentoring to junior developers as needed.
Requirements
- University or college education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience across frontend and backend technologies.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive UI development, SASS, LESS, and modern CSS layout techniques.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue or React, cross-browser compatibility, client-side debugging, and WCAG-compliant accessible applications.
- Proven experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs, backend-to-frontend integrations, and modular or service-based architectures.
- Experience with AWS, Amazon EKS, Docker, Kafka, Swagger, MongoDB, cloud-first development, and containerized environments.
- Working knowledge of Git or similar version control systems and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, and GitLab.
- Familiarity with NoSQL and relational databases, Agile delivery environments, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with shared platforms, frameworks, component libraries, mentoring, enterprise digital platforms, multi-team delivery, Appian, and Ingenium.
