Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and improve scalable full-stack web applications and supporting tools and services.
- Develop reliable backend services, responsive frontends, data aggregation pipelines, and performance enhancements.
- Analyze problems, identify dependencies, resolve issues, and drive technical implementation.
- Write and review technical design documents, tests, and code in languages including JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, and SQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional users, stakeholders, product teams, and engineering teams to identify pain points and devise technical solutions.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on relevant technologies, engineering principles, practices, and coding standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Six years of experience in full-stack software development and system design.
- Experience with frontend languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with backend languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience working with database technologies such as SQL or NoSQL.
- Preferred: two years of experience with site reliability engineering, information security, or DevOps practices.
- Preferred: two years of experience as a technical lead or engineering manager.
- Knowledge of technical constraints involved in designing for web technologies.
