Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy enterprise-grade cloud platforms with Microsoft Azure as the primary environment.
- Develop reproducible infrastructure-as-code deployments using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Integrate on-premises systems with cloud platforms for hybrid environments.
- Collaborate with security, networking, and DevOps teams on Azure Government Cloud compliance.
- Lead cloud infrastructure design projects across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Own infrastructure-as-code frameworks and pipeline automation standards.
- Optimize cost, resource allocation, reliability, and performance across multi-cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot complex system and platform-level issues across environments.
- Mentor engineers and provide tactical architecture guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in cloud platform engineering or enterprise systems architecture.
- 5–8 years of significant Azure experience, ideally including Azure Government Cloud.
- Advanced Azure administration and architecture knowledge, including VMs, VNets, AKS, and Azure AD.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting.
- Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized workloads.
- Knowledge of identity and policy management integrations, including Azure AD and Entra ID.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate certification is preferred.
- Ability to learn or work with Microsoft Office Suite or Microsoft 365.
