Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of customer issues for ClickHouse strategic accounts on Alibaba Cloud in the China region.
- Triage, classify, and track incoming cases, identifying recurring patterns for knowledge base improvement.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to SQL performance, schema design, and cluster operations.
- Advise customers on best practices, capacity planning, and configuration tuning.
- Escalate complex issues to global engineering teams while remaining the single point of contact.
- Collaborate with the China Engineering Manager to define SLAs and escalation paths.
- Contribute to internal tooling and documentation in both English and Chinese.
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical support, DBA, SRE, or database engineering roles.
- Technical breadth in ClickHouse DBMS, OLAP, and cloud platforms.
- Experience operating SQL databases in production and optimizing complex SQL queries.
- Solid Linux fundamentals and debugging skills for production systems.
- Knowledge of distributed database internals and operational realities.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like Alibaba Cloud or AWS.
- Excellent communication skills in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
