Base Salary
$166k - $238k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of infrastructure for building, testing, and deploying cloud applications.
- Architect and improve developer experience for Cloud Engineering teams and the Network Platform cloud.
- Lead complex troubleshooting and resolution of internal and vendor-supplied tools.
- Drive operational excellence and sustainable on-call practices across the organization.
- Partner with engineering leadership on roadmaps and report productivity gains and platform health to SVP-level stakeholders.
- Perform blameless postmortems and mentor engineers while providing technical oversight.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or master’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent related work experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience coding with languages such as Ruby or Python.
- Experience mentoring and providing technical oversight for a team.
- Experience managing and operating distributed systems at 1,000-plus nodes or in high-concurrency environments.
- Experience with configuration-as-code and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with modern Unix/Linux operating systems and distributions.
- Preferred experience with hybrid cloud environments, including bare metal, container orchestration, and managed cloud services.
- Preferred experience rapidly evaluating and adopting technologies to address production gaps or security vulnerabilities.
- Preferred experience building and supporting tools for engineering organizations of 2,000 or more people.
- Preferred familiarity with DORA and SPACE DevOps measurement metrics.
