Base Salary
$218k - $257k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own CI/build systems and deployment orchestration across the full lifecycle from design through production operation.
- Identify high-leverage developer infrastructure problems, create technical roadmaps, and drive alignment across dependent teams.
- Improve build and CI wall time, deployment speed and safety, and developer feedback latency.
- Lead cross-cutting initiatives such as large-scale platform migrations across many teams.
- Own SLOs, observability, on-call, reliability, and fast recovery for developer infrastructure.
- Partner with engineering customers, engineering managers, and leadership on technical strategy and adoption while mentoring engineers through design review, pairing, and shared ownership.
Requirements
- 8+ years building and operating production distributed systems.
- Hands-on proficiency in Go or a comparable systems language and direct experience with CI/CD, build systems, or deployment tooling.
- Track record designing and shipping high-impact backend or platform systems used by many engineers and services.
- Technical leadership experience setting architectural direction, driving organization-wide alignment, and making decisions that scale while remaining close to the code.
- Deep production operations expertise, including reliability, observability, and fast recovery for systems with broad downtime impact.
- Ability to lead ambiguous cross-functional initiatives and raise technical standards through mentorship, design review, and clear written and verbal communication.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
