Base Salary
$254k - $299k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the multi-quarter technical strategy for FinHub’s ledger and money-movement platform.
- Architect reusable primitives for fiat and crypto fund flows, including balances, holds, settlements, postings, transfers, and transaction history.
- Lead the rearchitecture and rollout of distributed financial workflows, state transitions, migrations, and cross-team initiatives.
- Enforce standards for double-entry accounting, idempotency, invariant enforcement, reconciliation, auditability, and safe failure recovery.
- Partner with Payments, Product, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Operations on architecture, regulatory, customer, and business priorities.
- Mentor senior and staff engineers on system design, operational excellence, technical writing, and maintainability.
- Use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including building and operating large-scale backend distributed systems in production.
- Deep experience designing financial, payments, ledger, banking, trading, or other high-consequence transaction systems where correctness and auditability are essential.
- Expertise in distributed systems, consistency models, asynchronous workflows, and state machines.
- Strong backend programming experience with languages such as Go, Java, or Python.
- Experience driving multi-quarter technical strategy and complex architectural initiatives across multiple engineering teams without direct authority.
- Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs and align executive, engineering, product, finance, and operations stakeholders.
