Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain backend microservices and API services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Deliver secure, scalable platform capabilities hosted in AWS or other cloud-native environments.
- Support services across the lifecycle from design through deployment and operations.
- Develop features with attention to performance, reliability, maintainability, and observability.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and validate AI-generated code through reviews, automated tests, and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to refine requirements, estimate work, and deliver incremental customer value.
- Contribute to front-end or Python-related tasks when needed while remaining primarily focused on Java and Spring Boot backend development.
- Create technical documentation, interface code, and operational runbooks.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering capability with Java 17+ and Spring Boot, including production RESTful API development using microservices principles.
- Experience building and deploying secure, scalable backend services in AWS, Azure, or comparable cloud-native environments.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted and agentic software development workflows and responsible AI usage.
- Ability to review, test, and refine AI-generated code and pull requests for correctness, maintainability, performance, security, and engineering-standard alignment.
- Knowledge of software development, software product design and architecture, software integration, decision-making, critical thinking, and effective communication.
- Preferred qualifications include production AI-agent development with Python, LangChain or LangGraph experience, LLM integrations with tools and data systems, agent evaluation and guardrails, multi-agent workflows, prompt optimization, and MLOps or model deployment experience.
