Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Node.js and TypeScript microservices for claims intake, workflow processing, task management, notifications, and downstream integrations.
- Build secure REST APIs, PostgreSQL database models, and event-driven integrations using Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
- Integrate backend services with Kogito workflows, BPMN processes, DMN decision services, and AI/IDP platforms.
- Implement reliability patterns including idempotency, retries, dead-letter queues, and event publishing.
- Ensure PHI-compliant logging, auditability, monitoring, and OpenTelemetry observability.
- Drive code quality, performance optimization, secure coding practices, and L3 production support.
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend development experience.
- 3+ years building and deploying microservices on Google Cloud Platform or Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, REST APIs, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, GKE, and Pub/Sub.
- Experience with Kogito REST APIs, BPMN, and DMN.
- Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, API security, observability, and test automation.
- Experience developing applications involving regulated data and healthcare workflows.
- Healthcare domain expertise, claims adjudication workflows, BPMN/DMN modeling, OpenTelemetry, and Kubernetes/GCP ecosystem knowledge are preferred.
