Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-volume business logic running on mainframe systems.
- Monitor architecture, identify inefficiencies, and optimize code for mainframe performance.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions in mission-critical applications.
- Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.
- Develop scalable and robust software using Java, Spring Boot, Python, AWS services, and modern engineering practices.
- Work with microservices, containers, messaging queues, relational and NoSQL databases, XML/JSON, and REST-based web services.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience is required.
- Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects.
- Strong coding and development experience with Java, microservices, Spring Boot, Python, and AWS services including Lambda, SNS, and API Gateway.
- Experience debugging and solving problems in scalable and robust software systems.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, and REST-based web services.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and messaging queues.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Hyperscaler certification in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred.
- Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices is preferred.
