Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI applications leveraging foundation models and LLMs.
- Architect and implement RAG systems using embeddings, semantic search, and vector databases.
- Fine-tune, evaluate, benchmark, and optimize models for performance, cost, latency, and quality.
- Develop prompt engineering strategies, prompt pipelines, guardrails, safety layers, and evaluation frameworks.
- Build and maintain APIs and backend services for AI-driven applications.
- Work with structured and unstructured data pipelines.
- Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into products.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, test, and improve deployed AI systems in production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of application or web development experience creating advanced AI solutions.
- At least 2 years of direct experience working with LLM-based systems.
- Experience with RAG, embeddings, semantic search, vector databases, model fine-tuning, evaluation frameworks, and model benchmarking.
- Knowledge of AI safety, alignment, and hallucination mitigation strategies.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB database design.
- Frontend development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; React or Next.js experience is preferred.
- Experience building APIs with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Experience with asynchronous programming, microservices architecture, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated ability to build end-to-end LLM products, assess open-source versus hosted model APIs, and optimize latency, cost, and scalability.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, experimentation, and continuous-learning skills.
