Base Salary
$198k - $277k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and operate CI/CD infrastructure for networking, SDN, MAC, platform, and ground software teams.
- Develop automated build, test, packaging, release, and deployment pipelines for geographically distributed points of presence, gateways, and edge systems.
- Build infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management frameworks for reproducible deployments across cloud, data center, and laboratory environments.
- Develop integration and test environments using network emulation, topology simulation, traffic generation, and failure-injection testing.
- Design artifact, versioning, and release-management systems with source-to-production traceability and rollback capabilities.
- Build observability tooling for metrics, logs, traces, network telemetry, deployment health, alerting, and automated diagnostics.
- Partner with SDN, ground networking, platform, security, and systems engineering teams to define deployment and validation requirements.
- Improve engineering velocity and production reliability through automation, developer tooling, and standardized deployment patterns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of software engineering, DevOps, platform, infrastructure, or site reliability experience.
- Software development experience in one or more of Python, Go, Rust, or Java.
- Experience building and operating production CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Argo CD.
- Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Helm, or equivalent configuration-management systems.
- Preferred: 7 or more years building software infrastructure for large-scale distributed, telecommunications, or mission-critical systems.
- Preferred: experience supporting Linux-based distributed systems and diagnosing failures across applications, networks, and infrastructure.
- Preferred: understanding of IP networking, routing protocols, IP/MPLS, Segment Routing, software-defined networking, and network automation.
- Preferred: experience deploying software across geographically distributed fleets with staged deployment, configuration consistency, and rollback.
- Preferred: experience with GitOps, immutable infrastructure, software supply chain security, secrets management, and deployment controls.
- Preferred: experience building network test infrastructure using traffic generators, virtual topologies, emulators, simulators, or digital twins.
