Base Salary
$147k - $179k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and operate scalable platform services and tooling for Qualtrics engineering teams.
- Develop services in Go that improve CPU and memory efficiency across the platform.
- Support and evolve Kubernetes container orchestration, including workloads, resource management, node pools, and policy enforcement on EKS.
- Architect service discovery capabilities and establish best practices for engineering teams.
- Define how engineers operate containerized workloads and improve platform availability, scalability, and performance.
- Collaborate with platform teams, AWS counterparts, security, and compliance teams.
- Participate in periodic on-call responsibilities as part of a global team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing and operating large-scale software systems.
- Experience with professional software engineering practices, including unit testing, code reviews, and design documents.
- Experience with high-level languages such as Go and scripting languages such as Bash.
- Experience building software or systems serving multiple teams or an entire company.
- Experience with Kubernetes, ideally EKS, including workload and resource management, node pool management, and policy enforcement.
- Ability to debug applications in a Linux environment.
- Systems engineering experience is welcome when paired with production software development experience; Linux-only or system-administration-only backgrounds are not the target profile.
