Base Salary
$192k - $264k/yr
Responsibilities
- Hire, onboard, train, coach, and grow a team of Solutions Architects.
- Lead technical pre-sales activities including qualification, technical validations, architecture discussions, and product demonstrations.
- Help customers achieve business success through Databricks’ Data Intelligence Platform.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates and build a high-performing, diverse Field Engineering team.
- Keep Solutions Architects current on the Databricks technology stack and ensure continuous technical learning.
- Partner with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams to drive customer success and revenue growth.
- Guide teams and customers through complex, scalable architecture decisions.
- Foster strong team culture, morale, and working relationships.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and leading technical pre-sales teams, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and mentoring.
- At least 8 years of experience in the data space with a technical product, such as data warehousing, big data, machine learning, or generative AI.
- Experience serving as a trusted advisor to technical executives making strategic data infrastructure decisions.
- Experience hiring high-performing talent, ramping employees successfully, and promoting them into larger roles.
- Strong understanding of consumption-driven business models and long-term growth strategies.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and related teams.
- Technical credibility with engineering talent and leadership.
- Ability to influence and review complex architectures and guide customers toward scalable solutions.
