Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end migration architecture and execution using Carbonite.
- Define cloud migration strategy, wave planning, and cutover approaches.
- Drive hands-on execution for critical lift-and-shift migrations.
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex migration issues and participate in war rooms.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams and manage stakeholder coordination.
- Implement an automation-first approach using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting.
- Govern security, compliance, and migration best practices.
- Support VMware and Google Cloud Platform integration during migration activities.
- Document migration processes, issues, and resolutions for knowledge sharing.
- Mentor and guide Associate Managers and Specialists.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of experience is required.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Strong cloud migration experience, particularly lift-and-shift migrations.
- Deep expertise in Red Hat Linux or Windows, with Linux preferred.
- Expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and VCF.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Puppet, Python, PowerShell, Shell, and Terraform.
- Experience with Carbonite migration tools.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, NSX-T, VMware vRO, Active Directory, backup, storage, and monitoring.
- Extensive troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- At least one cloud certification is mandatory, with GCP preferred.
- One OS certification is mandatory, with RHCE preferred.
- Terraform, Python, and Ansible certifications are good to have.
