Base Salary
$87k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and prototype innovative multi-domain system architectures.
- Develop embedded software and sophisticated detection, classification, localization, and tracking algorithms.
- Design software that optimizes sensor-system performance.
- Implement software for guidance and control of autonomous vehicles.
- Evaluate designs in real-time mission scenarios and perform operational analysis.
- Optimize algorithm designs for high performance.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate tasks or small projects involving multiple individuals.
- Contribute to business-development proposals and white papers and present effectively to customers.
- Support limited off-site testing, including possible overnight travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline plus five years of relevant professional experience; alternatively, a relevant master’s degree plus three years of experience, or a PhD.
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required before the start date; an active Secret DoD clearance is required on day one.
- U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
- Prior experience with software design, simulation, analysis, and implementation.
- Prior experience programming in C++ or another modern object-oriented language in a Linux development environment.
- Preferred experience with Python and Bash.
- Preferred experience with Linux development tools including git, Valgrind, and gdb.
- Preferred exposure to Google FlatBuffers, Armadillo, and REST API development libraries.
- Preferred experience with multithreaded applications, inter-process communication, resource sharing, and real-time processing systems.
